Hampi tourism has another side to it… It’s the Hippie side. Since long, Hampi has been on the world hippie trail. Hippie’s during the 60’s and 70’s would swarm the place during the season and trend still carries on, to the extent that we also have an island called the Hippie Island in Hampi.

Hampi – The Land of Heritage (A UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Hampi is more famous in southern India for its glorious past. The town has ruins of the erstwhile Vijayanagar. You will explore a lot about the Virupaksha Chariot Temple (Rath Temple), its unique architecture which resembles a Ratha during Hampi tourism. There are layers of civilizational landmarks built through ages, reminding you of a rich heritage and offering you a deep sense of connection and belongingness.

Hampi – Your perfect travel destination in India
Hampi which is based in Karnataka, near Bellary (the mining town). The distance between Hampi and Bangalore is about 330 kms which is a 6 hours journey by road. It is also not very far from Goa, Chennai, Hyderabad, Belgaum and Pune.

ITINERARY

Day 0

  1. 10:30 pm – We will start the pickup at around 10:30 pm, Departure from Bangalore.

Day 1

  1. As soon as we reach Hampi; we will check in to our Hotel/Home Stays/Lodges, freshen up and have our breakfast at some nearby restaurant.
  2. Our Hampi adventure begins on bicycles *Tring tring*, so on the first day of our adventure travel we will be exploring Hampi
  3. Then to witness the beautiful sunset of Hampi, we will go near Virupaksha Temple. After the sunset we will go and visit Virupaksha temple.
  4. After reaching our Home Stays/Lodges we will freshen up and go out for Dinner. Then before hitting our beds we will play some games and share our bedtime travel stories with all the travel mates with some formal introduction.

Day 2

  1. Wake up!! Its sunrise time. You will still be laying on your bed like a half dead body but this small early morning trek to Mathanga hill from where you can eagleview the whole of Hampi with the sun rising in full grace.
  2. Then we will go for our breakfast and after that we have some more adventures on the way i.e. Bouldering and Cliff Diving. For cliff diving we have to do a 6 KM trek (To and Fro), the trek is unique in its own way as we have to walk on rocky terrain which used to be the Tungabhadra river bed thousands of years ago, at some places you can actually hear the river flowing underneath you.
  3. After returning from the trek we will have our Lunch, then Pack Up and say Goodbye to Hampi.
  4. Board the bus and departure for Bangalore.

  1. Travel Cost (Actual travel cost will be shared equally by the total no of participants joining for the trip)
  2. Lunch and Dinner (We want you to taste the local cuisine as Hampi has a lot of varieties)
  3. Personal expenses (Snacks, mineral water, etc)
  4. Any extra expenditure not mentioned.
  5. All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.

  1. Shoes with good rubber grip
  2. Rucksack/Backpack
  3. Water (2 Litres)
  4. Windcheaters(In case if it rains) or Jacket (It may be cold at night)
  5. Extra pair of clothes for those who wish to take bath while kayaking
  6. Personal medical kit (If needed)
  7. Flashlight/Torch
  8. Cap or HeadWrap
  9. Snacks/Protein bars for Instant energy
  10. Vaseline or Sunscreen
  11. Spare batteries or Power Bank
  12. Plastic covers (to keep your stuff dry)
